Artist Bio: Jacob Carson

Jacob Carson calls Visalia, California, his home base, where he crafts mesmerizing digital art that transports viewers to fantastical realms. While he primarily works in the digital medium, he occasionally wields his charcoal and pencils for select commissions, creating stunning pieces. His art thrives on the wonders of fantasy, drawing inspiration from his favorite movies, books, and comics—each piece a new adventure waiting to unfold!

Jacob’s artistic journey has been anything but conventional. After a series of career shifts, from Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Technician to Tractor Servicing Specialist, he decided to follow his passion for art and enrolled at California State University, Fresno. He proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art in 2021, and his talent was recognized when he clinched the Best In Show award at the Farmersville Student Art Show in 2019.

Since graduation, Jacob has taken the plunge into the world of freelance art, collaborating with independent publishers and board game creators on exciting projects that bring his imaginative visions to life. He’s also passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience, teaching art classes at Arts Visalia—a local non-profit dedicated to making art accessible for everyone, from kids to adults.

In 2023, Jacob joined the Visalia Arts Consortium, where he connects with fellow artists and participates in regional art vendor events, sharing his work with the community. With each digital brushstroke, Jacob continues to inspire and entertain, inviting others to join him on his creative journey!
